After fearing his ESPN job recently, he is now eyeing a $50 million celebrity’s work.
What’s even more interesting is that, if he lands it in the near future, he would need to leave the field of sports journalism. Thus, the US entertainment industry prepares itself for yet another Stephen A. Smith stunt.

What did Stephen A Smith say?
Recently, the NBA analyst revealed that if given the opportunity, he would host the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’. With the reports of $50 million worth of talk show host Jimmy Kimmel leaving, Smith is an unlikely candidate. Thus, the 55-year-old was quick to express his desire to replace him, if provided the chance.

The sports personality had his chances of hosting his own shows in the past. During those times, he turned the offers down due to personal reasons. Kimmel’s setup, in particular, interested him, as he was willing to leave the field of sports to become a part of that show.

All this came at the back of a series of actions that had him worried about his career. ESPN went on a lay-off spree right after the end of the last season that had Stephen stressed. So, at this point in time, after surviving such a big scare, a career switch did not sound bad.

Coming from humble beginnings, his rise to fame has been inspirational. After being unlucky with his basketball playing career, he never left the game to make a career out of it.

One of the biggest aspects of his career has been that he has never put any limit on himself. Always growing and trying something new out, he helped take journalism to a new horizon.
