Days after his controversial ‘NBA World Champion’ statement, US sprinter Noah Lyles has found an uncanny support from the NBA world. A former star backed Lyles while dragging LeBron James and Stephen Curry into the conversation. The star compared the duo with Deion Sanders.

A recent college football game between the Colorado Buffaloes and Colorado State Rams grabbed a lot of eyeballs. Notably, Buff’s head coach Deion Sanders went viral because of the hype leading up to the game. Notably, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James also actively followed the game, as he shared multiple tweets throughout the game. However, the hype doesn’t seem to impress the former NBA player.

Justin Anderson represented the Indiana Pacers in the 2021-22 season for 11 games and has never returned to hardwood ever since. Recently, he took to his X handle, formerly known Twitter, and indirectly batted for Noah Lyles‘ controversial comment on NBA. After winning the Gold medal in the 2023 World Athletic Champions, he criticized the NBA for calling their winners as ‘World Champions’. He said, “That is not the world, we are the world.”

Following that, he faced a lot of backlashes from NBA stars, but he also received a lonely support from Giannis Antetokounmpo. Now, Anderson has also seemed to have joined hands. In his tweet, he wrote, “The United States (not the world) will build you up to eventually break you down. I’ve seen it in my lifetime with Bron & Steph… & now Deion Sanders.”

On the other hand, he also took a dig at the Colorado instate game. He added, folks up at 2am cheering on Colorado State like they went there.. Why!!!???”

There isn’t clarity on Anderson’s reason for comparing Steph and Bron with Sanders, but he sure did have a tough time in the league.

Justin Anderson’s NBA journey

Anderson had become quite a wanderer in his NBA career. He represented six franchises in his 7-season-long career. He registered a career average game time of 13.6 minutes with 5.3 average points. After coming into the like as the 21st overall pick in 2015, he has had a journey to forget. Moreover, he has also represented the Pacers’ G-League team, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, trying to make his way back into the league.
