With less than 20 games into the season, the Warriors have seen both, a dramatic rise and fall. The story isn’t different for the Denver Nuggets as well. The Mile-High City, after a shaky start to the season, finally seemed to have found their championship groove amidst injury woes. Now, both teams are all set to face each other at the crossroads and look to fully get back on the winning ways. Will Coach Steve Kerr find a way to end the Dubs’ misery? Well, we can only wait and watch.
The San Francisco side was off to a flying start with their 13-man rotation policy. The team was racking up blowout wins for fun. And all of a sudden, the policy doesn’t seem to work, and they have fallen to the fourth seed after leading the West. Looking at the way things have proceeded, the Dubs may even slip to 7th seed with a loss. This only shows how stacked the Western Conference is.
Nevertheless, injuries have also been a major cause of the team’s situation. Stephen Curry has already missed two stretches with ankle and knee injuries. Even though the team has a 3-1 record in his absence, it certainly disrupted the momentum. Above all, De’Anthony Melton, who seemed like a perfect backcourt partner for Steph, suffered a season-ending injury.

So, after the 4-game losing streak, it leaves our eyes wide open to find out whether Steve Kerr would change his policy or stick with it. Importantly, the 9x champ may have to reconsider his unique system for tomorrow, as the team has listed Steph Curry (Knee) and Draymond Green (Calf tightness) as probable and doubtful for the Nuggets clash, respectively.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, Peyton Watson and Aaron Gordon, who played against the Clippers, have again found themselves in the IR as Probables. So, they might lace up for the game, considering the challenge ahead of them.
Steve Kerr and Co. vs Nuggets: Starting lineups and depth charts
The Nuggets haven’t been the same since their 2023 championship. After losing their star perimeter defender Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, they’ve had an extremely difficult run this season. On top of it, Denver also missed Aaron Gordon, for three weeks with a calf injury. Jamal Murray hasn’t been at his best, recording an underwhelming shooting percentage of 42.4% while he shot at 48.1% last year. Nevertheless, the team has their core back finally as AG returned after the injury!
