The Denver Nuggets will be hosting the Philadelphia 76ers as they prepare for their second matchup of the season. On January 16th, the two teams went head-to-head with Philly taking home a 126-121 win. There is no doubt that this will be an exciting game as two of the most dominant centers in the league face off.
Fresh off losses, both Denver and Philadelphia will be looking to get back to their winning ways. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the expected lineups!

With both teams equally shorthanded, a few key players are listed as questionable ahead of the thrilling matchup. Even so, the Nuggets starting lineup could probably look like this – Jamal Murray, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Aaron Gordon, Nikola Jokić, and Michael Porter Jr. The 76ers, for their part, will feature Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, Joel Embiid, Nic Batum, and Kelly Oubre Jr.
Mo Bamba, Kenneth Lofton Jr., Robert Covington, and De’Anthony Melton are all listed as ‘out’. The list includes Maxey and Harris as questionable, while Marcus Morris Sr. is said to be probable. Again, there’s every possibility that the questionable players will probably take the floor come game time.
Vlatko Čančar, the Nuggets’ 2017 draft pick from Slovenia, had been ruled out indefinitely with a knee injury. Apart from the 6’8 small forward, Denver has Julian Strawther on the ‘out’ as well. The rest, Reggie Jackson, Jokic, Gordon, and Murray, are on the probable list for tonight.
If all things go well with the starting five, what can we expect from the game in itself?

Seeing as how the Nuggets had their two-game winning streak broken by the Sixers earlier, it won’t be surprising that Jokic and Co. will be looking for retribution. Though the ‘Mile High City’ got right back with three wins subsequently, they had an abysmal loss yesterday. Colorado fell to the Knicks 84-122!
Pennsylvania, on the other hand, just saw their six-game streak broken in half by the Indiana Pacers. Philly will once again look to weave the magic that helped them beat the defending champions. But it’s safe to assume that Denver will be ready this time around.

Then again, the Sixers’ 7-foot big man did just drop 70 on the Spurs not too long ago. So, with a healthy Joel “The Process” Embiid, it’s highly unlikely that the ‘City of Brotherly Love’ will be extending their loss on Colorado soil.
