Over the last few days, Bronny James hit the headlines several times. Unfortunately, it wasn’t for his balling skills in Purple & Gold. But after LeBron James’ heated courtside confrontation against Stephen A. Smith. Even though it’s an overused topic with multiple developments from the veteran analyst, James Jr. hasn’t opened up on it. Last night, after fighting an effort against the Nuggets, the 20-year-old rookie revealed how he manages media and prepares for games despite living in the dark.
It’s important to remember that Bronny’s life isn’t always a walk in the park. On top of competing against some seriously talented young ballers, he also has to deal with constant media scrutiny and criticism. Recently, the media had a field day, especially after King James dropped that infamous line: “Stop f-ing with my son. That’s my f-ing son.” The noise around it might’ve died down a bit over the last couple of days, but it gave the young gun his moment to speak up.
The Lakers faced off against the powerhouse Nuggets without four of their starters, including LeBron James and Luka Doncic. Despite their lack of experience, the team put up a strong fight but just couldn’t close it out. Bronny James, who hasn’t suited up for the Lakers in a while, managed to put up 5 points. After the game, reporters rushed into the locker room, and of course, the young star wasn’t going to dodge the ongoing controversy. He had his chance to address it.

However, it seemed to have worked for the rising star, as he added, “I feel like it’s been really good for me. I worked all summer before the draft and I’m still working right now. So, I can see improvement and it’s been going well for me.”

Bronny James revealed pre-game suspense
It’s always a tough time for the players who haven’t made it to the regular rotation. We often spot them on the bench, ready with the kit on. Most of the time, they leave the arena without breaking a sweat. Or sometimes, they check in to play the garbage minutes. Bronny James has had a similar fate with the Lakers’ fold.
With players like LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and Rui Hachimura stacked in the starting lineup, he barely received chances on the floor. At the same time, that doesn’t mean that Bronny wasn’t sufficiently warmed up to play. Performing in the G-League, Bronny has continued to improve his play, averaging 13.4 ppg in 7 games.
