From a basketball standout, LeBron James was almost destined to be a great in the game. He had the right frame, freakish athleticism, impeccable instincts, and the flair factor. However, a major chunk of his success wouldn’t even be possible without the existence of his ‘queen’ Savannah James. Not only has she become an independent entrepreneur and a great mother, but she has taught James about certain etiquette.
Be careful not to call her his wifey is all that can be said about that. During the much-anticipated return of her podcast, Everybody’s Crazy, the happily married Savannah James revealed one of the things she despised about her husband initially. No, it wasn’t anything personal or his characteristics. She never liked to be introduced as ‘wifey’, and her frustrations were palpable even when looking back at the past.
“Don’t call me your wifey. I am not… I had to politely tell my husband back in the day. He used to introduce me ‘This is my wife. This is my wife’. I had to pull him to the side like excuse me, sir, don’t introduce me as that, please. I am not your wife and I deserve that title when the time is right,” the 37-year-old recalled on her podcast.

All Savannah James asked for back then was to be known by her name rather than be associated as LeBron James’ wife. It’s not wrong, but rather a modern approach. She was just ahead of her time, and understanding her stance, a young James mended his ways. That’s one of the reasons their high school romance goes strong to this day.
Each of them understands the vast impact the other plays in their life. And it’s evidence was clear when they recently met Tom Brady in Paris.
LeBron James recognizes Savannah James as the reason for his success
Recently, at an event during the Paris Olympics, LeBron James, Savannah, and Carmelo Anthony were enjoying the city. Coincidentally, NFL great Tom Brady was present too. He introduced himself to the 37-year-old businesswoman. Later he looked toward her daughter Zhuri and said “You are holding it down“.

LeBron James didn’t say much at first but just nodded his head. And then he crowned his significant other. “It wouldn’t be possible without her, I tell you that,” he admitted to Brady.

The appreciation and acknowledgment the couple has for one another have kept them strong through the toughest of winds. It is because of Savannah James holding down the fort and taking care of their kids that at the age of 39, the King can join his countrymen in their quest for Olympic gold.
And it’s not one-sided. In the past, Savannah James has credited her husband for being a wonderful father and is present during most of his glorious career moments. That’s how closely wound they are. And as a result of their devotion, they are now reaping the fruits of their success.
