In a rematch of the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals, the Boston Celtics faced the Miami Heat in tonight?s match at TD Garden. No doubt the Celtics were much in the news due to the average play of Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford, but the team turned around the play tonight. What matters is that this was a home opener for the Celtics, and they displayed a spectacular performance, with all five starters scoring in double digits.

Other than Jrue, Tatum, and D. White, K. Porzingis and Jaylen Brown stood at 17 and 27 points, respectively. However, amidst all this, Tatum made a statement about not being the weakest link.

Jayson Tatum is often criticized for delivering consistent gameplay in a series. However, it?s an open secret; as the media reporters say, ?Jayson Tatum shows up when he is needed.??Seeing tonight?s spectacular win over the Heat, the claim holds true.

Well, a recent tweet by Jay King, a Celtics reporter for the Athletic, took to Twitter what Tatum said about his two fellow teammates tonight. Jayson said, ?It impacts you and inspires you when guys like (Jrue Holiday) and (Derrick White) are getting chase-down blocks.?

Apparently, Tatum doesn?t want to be the weak link, and such fellows inspire him to not go down that road.

With 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, Tatum did shine tonight. Jrue Holiday scored a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

The trio: Jayson Taytum, Derreck White and Jrue Holiday

The perfect guard, fit to play alongside two superstar wings on a team like the Boston Celtics, is a match rarely found. However, Jrue Holiday checks out all the boxes for a player who can win championships. With the reputation of a first-team All-Star defense player, no doubt the Milwaukee Bucks will miss him.

Jayson Tatum is a power-packed defensive player who can handle a two-way threat with ease. He is the one ingredient that has the capability to make the Celtics a contender in the Eastern Conference finals. After all, even in the 2018 season, just one year after his rookie debut, he was not afraid to dunk over LeBron James.

And with these two best-in-class defensive players, the best bet is in an offensive position on the team. And that is none other than Derreck White leading the team in scoring. With their second consecutive win this regular season, the Boston Celtics are standing at 2-0. The Miami Heat trailed behind the Celtics by 111-119 by the end of the fourth quarter.
