Caitlin Clark finally got her revenge on the LSU Tigers. The Iowa Hawkeyes knocked out the defending Champions after beating them 94-87 in tonight’s Elite Eight match-up. While the fans anticipated another competitive duel between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, it was a one-sided affair. Clark put on a scoring clinic against LSU, finishing with a game-high 41 points. Clark’s dominant performance even caught the attention of ESPN millionaire Stephen A. Smith, as he could not stop praising her on social media!

After watching Caitlin Clark put on a show in March Madness, Smith was highly impressed. The veteran tweeted, Yo! @CaitlinClark22 is OFFICIAL! She is putting on an absolute show. 37 points 9-of-18 shooting from 3-point range. @LSU does not have an answer for her. Not Reese. Not Johnson. Not Mulkey. Not anyone. #LordHaveMercy”. After getting outscored in the 1st quarter, Clark decimated LSU’s defense and did not give them a chance for a comeback. The Hawkeyes are headed to the Final Four for the 2nd straight year!

Thanks to Clark’s historic performance, they will face the winner of USC vs. UConn in the next round. Tonight’s victory over LSU will taste extra sweet, as they lost to them in the Championship game last year. That game also birthed the iconic rivalry between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark after the LSU star taunted Clark with John Cena’s “You can’t see me” gesture, followed by a “Ring Me” celebration.

With their rivals out of the way, the Hawkeyes have a chance to finally win the tournament before Clark heads to the WNBA. Well, Clark was in the limelight, and it’s safe to say that Smith wasn’t the only one excited about the game.

Skip Bayless drew a unique NBA HOF comparison with Caitlin Clark

Stephen A. Smith was not the only millionaire impressed with Caitlin Clark’s 41-point performance. His on-screen competitor, Skip Bayless, also had high praise for the Iowa star and even compared her to an NBA legend. The Fox millionaire tweeted, “Caitlin Clark definitely deserves the nickname Ponytail Pete, as in Maravich.”

The Undisputed host put Clark in the same ranks as Hall of Famer Pete Maravich! Pete played in the NBA from 1970 to 1980 and was one player who transcended the game during his era. Pete was an elite scorer and playmaker, and fans were mesmerized by his fancy passing skills.

With her 41-12-7 performance, Clark created, assisted, or scored 73 out of Iowa’s 94 points. She has had a legendary college season, and it will be the icing on the cake if she can lead the Hawkeyes to a Championship this year.
