Then, Hudson asked her a challenging question, “Which of your kids is the hardest to shop for?” To that, without any hesitation, Ayesha said, “My 11-year-old, Riley. She’s that in-between age right now. She’s not quite a teenager yet, but she likes the older things. I’m like, “What do I give her that’s just enough. What do I say to not quite yet! She’s probably the most difficult.”

Ayesha’s answer resonates with every parent who has a child who is in that age phase where they are not old enough to be given a particular thing or young enough to appreciate anything. Shopping for children who are below 10 is very easy, as they tell you what they want. However, as they grow older, they start developing a liking for some new things, due to which shopping for them becomes intricate and difficult to understand. So Ayesha stresses the point that getting a gift for someone like that and satisfying them with an age-appropriate gift is a task.
