Thursday saw the 79th career 40-point game for LeBron James. Insane, right? The 40-year-old put on a scoring clinic against the Blazers that again raises the question if this man is even a human. But the performance didn’t save him from some roasting from his peers. Austin Reaves barged into his post-game interview, calling LeBron “Old a–.” Well, that was not the end of the story. He got trolled back at home too, this time by his daughter, Zhuri James!
In an Instagram story shared by LeBron, Zhuri was seen running into the frame shouting, “I’m open, I’m open, I’m open,” wrapping a Lakers towel. She made a not-so-perfect catch-and-shoot attempt before running off to bust out Daddy’s silencer celebration. But the most hilarious part about all this was the beard she used for the LeBron cosplay. A yellow piece of wax was hanging on her chin, imitating the beard. This had LeBron laughing hysterically, using dozens of laughing emojis, with the caption, “Not my daughter imitating me! The beard though got me weak!”
This is nothing new for the father-daughter duo, as they’ve often shared innocent and adorable moments together. In fact, quite recently, LeBron and Zhuri were spotted working out side by side. Be it pushups on dumbbells or balancing their bodies on gym balls, they were doing it all, with LeBron sharing those precious moments on his Instagram stories.

Moreover, in one of the clips, they were seen playing baseball. Yes, little Zhuri is not only a pro in volleyball but also showcased some impressive baseball skills going up against her father. All of these were posted by LeBron at a time when harsh criticisms were coming his way, but he kept his silence. The only way he chose to shut those remarks was by sharing these special moments with his 10-year-old daughter.

LeBron James faces backlash for his unexpected action
The NBA community was eager to see LeBron James take the court for the 21st time in the All-Star Game. So, they showered him with votes. But what did the Lakers star do? He backed out at the last hour. “You won’t see anything from me tonight,” he announced in the press conference right before the star-studded game because of a discomfort in his ankle. Naturally, that didn’t sit well with the others. While everyone understood his excuse, the timing of the confession was not received positively.

One of the comments came from Shannon Sharpe, who said on First Take, “LeBron in this situation was selfish, he knew he wasn’t going to play.” That was a bold one coming from the NFL star-turned-analyst who usually doesn’t go against LeBron rather defends him. “Instead of telling Adam Silver I am not going to play and allowing him to name a replacement, even if its not Norman (Powell). Even though I think he has earned that right considering how well he played. That’s what should have happened for me.”

When LeBron James informed about his decision, it was too late. The league officials couldn’t have found a replacement within an hour or so, which many felt was unfair on the part of the 4-time champion, as his decision cost someone else the opportunity to suit up for the All-Star game.
Now that the focus has shifted back to the regular season, hopefully, this chapter will soon come to an end. Do you think that’s possible? Let us know in the comments below!
