Following his promotional stunts in China, Irving responded to questions about his current situation. Upon being asked about his past few months, he mentioned how he had to “stay patient” while hustling. Transitioning “to a whole new city” with his family after committing himself to Dallas was a struggle he had to overcome.

From getting “acclimated with the team” to being “mature” and treating himself with “grace,” Kyrie revealed an unknown side to the world. “It’s a new experience,” the 8-time All-Star stated as he also learned “how to communicate better”. Thus, looking back on the entire experience, he concluded, “Not an easy task to handle this NBA life alone”.

“I have a great support system,” he later added, emphasizing the support from his close ones. The NBA champion looked all set ahead of the start of his new season, but his words might haunt the Dallas supporters. Irving had a history of walking back on his promises, as his past actions indicated on numerous occasions.
