Sometimes you cannot help but wonder why would a superstar say something that would turn into instant troll food. Failure could be a lot of things to a lot of people, but for professional athletes, that is the only yardstick that they are going to be compared to. What Giannis can speak about and draw praise from all quarters could be a big no-no for someone else. Probably Russell Westbrook should have known better.
As the season is about to begin, there will be some nervous energy in all parties involved. But for Westbrook, who has been at the receiving end for years now, this one post is something that he could have avoided.
It is the only thing.

No one has ever questioned Russell Westbrook?s efforts. He gives his maximum every time he steps on the court. He goes on full throttle like a car on NOS. And sometimes it acts detrimental to his intentions. For someone who gets criticized so much by the media and the fans, he should be very careful with what he puts out. Giannis Antetokounmpo can get knocked out of the playoffs, and still face the public with pride and panache. He has delivered a championship to the city that was languishing for the past five decades. But the same could not be applied to Westbrook. He had some of the greatest players as his teammates, and yet could not win a title.
Russell Westbrook has been receiving criticism for his ?Championship or bust is not a real thing? quote. One fan?s comment was ?Glad he ain’t a laker anymore.? While another fan says, ?Lost me here bro.? Please have a look at the below tweets.
Russell Westbrook on a championship-or-bust mentality: “The championship or bust, to me that’s not a real thing. That’s a thing that people make up. … You could accomplish a lot more. You can create brotherhood, you can learn a lot more about people.”

There were also some tweets that had empathy for Russell Westbrook.
He wants to win a championship but if he doesn?t its not the end of the world..

A player getting criticized for his game is understandable. But his family and friends should be off limits. Westbrook’s kid getting trolled or bullied is outright wrong. If Westbrook is what the trolls are painting him to be, why is he still in the league? Media pundits can criticize him all they want, but calling him “Westbrick” and trying to mock him is just bullying.
Though Russell cannot control the media or the NBA fans, he can do his best on the court, and definitely be more shrewd in terms of his quotes. Let’s hope Russell Westbrook has a great season with the Clippers who were plagued by the injury bug for the past two seasons.
