LeBron James is one of the greatest basketball players to ever step foot on the hardwood. Not only has he dominated the game, but he also has had a global impact due to his persona. Even at the age of 39, the Akron Hammer continues to dominate the game and shows no signs of giving up anytime soon. He is leading the Lakers and is the cornerstone of the team in terms of scoring as well as creating plays. And now, even after achieving everything the sport has to offer and breaking multiple records, the 4x NBA Champion has the determination to keep going.

Looking at LeBron James’ play, Colin Cowherd spoke about him on his talk show “The Herd” and compared his illustrious career with the NFL legend Tom Brady.

The meeting between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns in the in-season tournament quarter-finals provided not only a compelling contest but also plenty of controversies, leaving fans and commentators alike buzzing with debate. Even Cowherd spoke about it in his talk show and said “It’s not going to affect anything big picture for the NBA but it was a bad call, Lakers got the call at home, Sun didn’t on the road”.

Cowherd further went on to praise James and called him the patriarch, comparing the team to a restaurant. He expressed that even though the 19x All-Star wants to hand over the reins of his restaurant, he is the one who is putting in the maximum effort for the betterment of the restaurant. He will be the one mopping the floor every night, making the last hamburger and even closing the shop every night. So the level of dedication James has toward basketball is extraordinary.

However, Cowherd then went on to compare James with Tom Brady and said, “I don’t know how as he turns 39, they’re going to keep getting these minutes out of LeBron in the fourth quarter. But sometimes I feel like Brady in the end, I felt like I was just getting bonus games. It’s like Brady’s career is over, this is like the bonus section of Brady’s career.” Just like how Brady was giving his all, pushing the limits, Cowherd feels like LeBron James is doing the same, doing something that is impossible and over-delivering.
