The NBA league has thrived on innovation and evolution. The league has always been down to make changes. This dynamic nature only makes the game more competitive and entertaining. Be it the three-point line to the shot clock, the changes are only increasing the graph of the game. And now, NBA commissioner Adam Silver is embarking on a latest project.

Under Silver, the NBA has experienced growth and innovation. The league officially announced an upcoming in-season tournament. Reactions to the NBA schedule have been mixed.

The tournament is set to kick off on November 3 and will see all 30 NBA teams competing for the coveted NBA Cup. The tournament will see eight teams advancing into the knockout rounds. And the semi-finals and championship game is set to take place in Las Vegas on December 7 and 9.

While some fans were excited about the prospect of a mid-season championship, others felt that it was an unnecessary addition to the already established regular season tournament. 

Fan verdict: “Sounds Boring”

The announcement of the in-season tournament has elicited a mixed bag of reactions from fans. Some have expressed skepticism, with comments like “nobody wants this”.

A few dismissed the Silver’s announcement as “sounds boring…we’ll see.”

Others have questioned the format of the tournament. By maintaining the East versus West format in the knockout rounds, the tournament seemed less distinctive of a regular season:
