One call from JJ Redick changed the atmosphere at Crypto.com Arena in an instant. The crowd erupted as Redick signaled for Bronny James to take the court, marking a historic moment—LeBron James and his son Bronny playing together on the same NBA team. With four minutes left before halftime, Bronny stepped onto the hardwood, and the lights made it feel like a Hollywood scene. In under three minutes, he grabbed a rebound, and the moment ended. While many celebrated the occasion, others reminded the young point guard of the challenges ahead.
Like every leading American sports show, ‘Run It Back’ discussed Tuesday night’s history similarly. And Lou Williams didn’t hold back from sharing a crucial piece of advice with Bronny. “Now you gotta put in the work to have staying power,” the former Clipper said, hinting at the smooth entry he had to the league because of his father. “You gotta put in the work to make sure everybody knows that you’re a valuable pro, and everything that you get from this moment on has to be earned.”
Williams said he’s happy for LeBron and the James family and confessed that if anyone deserved to achieve that moment, it was the 20-time All-Star. After congratulating Bronny for his historic debut, Williams underlined, “Nobody can help you now. It’s all on you, so go out there and get it done.”

Williams wished for Bronny to have a successful NBA career, but he emphasized that he had to work hard for it. He suggested, “He’s gonna have to go down to the g league, and he’s gonna have to go down there and not even be dominant, but just get better day in and day out and continue to build on his young career and get to a point where he can alleviate all doubt from everybody.”
“If Bronny’s debut isn’t manufactured, then I don’t know what the word manufactured means. I am not impressed.” – Michelle Beadle@MichelleDBeadle‘s opinion on Bronny’s debut is quite different than @TeamLou23 and @ChandlerParsons‘ 👀

While Williams asked Bronny to get better at the sport after the big night resulted in a 0-point contribution, his co-host Michelle Beadle accused the Lakers. “If Bronny’s debut isn’t manufactured, then I don’t know what the word manufactured means. I am not impressed,” she boldly stated. There were others too, who weren’t impressed with the whole scenario.

“Because LeBron’s 40” – More criticisms came LeBron James and Bronny’s way
During his appearance on Awful Announcing, Chris Russo asked everyone to calm down first and then began his blast. “This might be fun for LeBron,” the 64-year-old blunted stated. “Nobody in America cares that Bronny James played three minutes and grabbed one rebound at 11 o’clock at night in the opener.” This would surely sting the James family.
“This is supposed to be a moment that America is gonna resonate with?” he asked. ‘Mad Dog’ admitted loving Bronny despite being highly critical of him when he was at USC. He also confessed LeBron’s greatness as a player, who likes staying out of trouble. Then he sarcastically pointed out, “Who doesn’t like LeBron? I mean, he’s not Jordan, but who doesn’t love LeBron? Everybody loves LeBron.”

The host tried to reason with him, saying that it became a big deal because of the arguable GOAT, LeBron’s presence. Russo then accused the Lakers of manufacturing Bronny’s debut because of the 4-time champion. “He’s only on the team because LeBron’s 40. He’s their star,” ‘Mad Dog’ added. “So as a result, it’s a second-round pick. 3 minutes. Let’s throw them out there.”
Amid the harsh criticism, the James family is enjoying their moment. Sure, Bronny needs to work on his numbers to confirm his spot in the franchise and shut down his doubters. But how fast will that happen? Will it even happen? Only time can answer.
