He dropped 23 points with 4 rebounds and 4 assists in his 23-minute game time. Eventually crushing the Heat for a 120-104 victory.

Notably, the Heat took to the court without their franchise leaders like Butler and Bam Adebayo in the lineup. Despite that, the 19-year-old showed no mercy and went by his business. 

Following the defeat, Erik Spoelstra expressed his amazement after facing the youngster in an interview with Tim Reynolds for AP News. He said, “We’ve seen the footage, we’ve read about him, we’ve heard what everybody said… But until you actually see it, live, in person, there’s no real way to describe it.”

He further went on to express his thoughts on Wemby’s contribution to the Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich.
