Ever since winning his Gold medal at the Paris Olympics, LeBron James has been busy enjoying a much-needed break. His partner for the European vacation? None other than on-court NBA rival and long-time pal Draymond Green. Just last week, the duo was spotted partying at a beach club in Cannes, France. But as the two veteran hoopers reached a new location, the enjoyable vacation soon turned suffocating and cluttered for King James, which even had his loyal fans worried.

Following an eventful stay in France, LeBron and Draymond headed to the beautiful country of Monaco. In a video released on the Pistons Brothers YouTube channel, the duo was spotted walking on the crowded streets. However, what raised concerns was a horde of fans gathering wherever the two hoopers went, following them around, hoping to get a glimpse of the Lakers star. Because of their global popularity, James and Green were forced to walk with a ton of security, who kept the onlookers from getting too close.

Realizing how suffocating living like this daily could be, the NBA community sympathized with the two veteran stars, especially King James. One netizen wrote, “Man this is no life… he can’t walk like an ordinary human.” Well-known since he was a teen, the NBA legend might not even remember a time when he could wander at a public location without security.

But that’s the downside of being a global athlete. Meanwhile, one fan pointed out how being famous can get old very quickly, “It’s really fantastic for the first few years being recognized…. then you hate being followed and taking a million pictures and signing autographs then when it’s gone you miss it again.” As great as it is to be a well-known personality, everyone craves a little privacy to freely enjoy their personal life. Even LeBron James!

That was evident quite recently after the Olympic Gold winner snapped at a local fan in Paris. The legend had just gotten out of his car and was heading towards the nightclub to party after the final. However, a fan already standing there, ready with his phone, nudged the player, attempting to take a quick selfie. However, James was in no mood and snapped at the young boy, firmly saying, “Stop, stop, stop, don’t do that,” showing the palm of his hand while walking away.

However, this recent video of Bron and Dray together is not surprising, but fans were quick to empathize with the hoopers.

LeBron James’ fame outshines Draymond Green’s presence

As the fans sympathized with the Laker, they also pointed out the stark difference in his popularity compared to Green. Sure enough, being the face of the league for over two decades, LeBron James is arguably the most popular hooper of this era and maybe ever. Seeing how fans in Monaco wanted a picture, one commenter hilariously wrote, “Bron so famous, most of those folks thought Draymond was part of security lmao.” Sure, Dray is extremely well-known but walking next to a legend, he got a bit lost in the King’s aura.

Adding insult to injury, one fan wrote, “If Draymond was alone no one would recognise him.” Obviously, that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but it is possible that the crowd would have been much smaller if it was only the Warrior roaming around the streets of Monaco. While some fans took digs at Draymond, one just marveled at his friendship with LeBron, “Dray and Bron together because they are friends when you are on different teams in NBA best 2 man of NBA.”

Although they have been rivals for most of their careers, even competing against each other in 4 straight NBA Finals, they are great pals off the court. And as they grow older, they have only been appreciative of each other’s greatness. Hopefully, this suffocating fan experience will not cut their vacation short as the fans have enjoyed seeing the two legends having a good time together.
