98 Days After Going Viral, Victor Wembanyama’s 6’1 Sister Leaves NBA Fans in Splits: “You’re Not LeBron James”

Last Season we saw teams tanking like never before. It was so blatantly obvious that the NBA had to create a new ruling to discourage such behavior. But the teams can be forgiven because the price on the line was Victor Wembanyama. A generational talent and a player that the NBA fans have never witnessed. Victor drew comparisons to LeBron James even before he stepped on the NBA court. He was the most hyped player in over two decades.

But it is his sister who has gone viral in recent times. Eve Wembanyama went viral at the FIBA 3v3 U23 World Cup.

Basketball in Their Blood

The fans are excited at the prospect of watching Victor Wembanyama play in the NBA. He is the most hyped player to be drafted in the last twenty years. He garnered comparison with NBA greats Michael Jordan and LeBron James before playing in the NBA. The hype is justified because the NBA fans have never witnessed a player quite like Victor. The Frenchman stands tall at 7 foot 4 inches. He is equally adept at creating his own shot as he is playing in the paint. Victor is an imposing figure on defense with a wingspan of nearly eight feet. No wonder Victor had so much hype going into the draft with such attributes. The Spurs have a generational talent on their hands.

It looks like basketball runs in their blood. Victor’s older sister, Eve Wembanyama is also a basketball player. The 21-year-old plays for Monaco in the Ligue Feminine 2. She has also represented the likes of Lyon and Calais.

On Victor’s big day at the NBA Draft Lottery, it was actually Eve who became an internet sensation. And now, Eve has again caught the attention of many eagle eyed fans.

Fans React to Eve’s Unorthodox Move

Eve Wembanyama is currently representing France at the FIBA 3v3 U23 World Cup. The 21-year-old garnered attention for fans on one particular move of hers. In a clip posted by Ballislife on their Twitter handle, we can see Eve blatantly carry the ball and score a basket.

A Twitter user by the name of Villa commented on the video “ur not lebron james tho”. Another fan wrote, “Brother she almost landed in Syria with that travel”.

But a user by the name of Dev had a different viewpoint than other fans. He wrote “not a travel. we normally see people fall in those situations instead of adjusting and finishing. it looks weird but it’s clean”.
