Devin Booker added another player to his long list of NBA beef. The Phoenix Suns star engaged in ugly on-court beef with the Houston Rockets rookie Cam Whitmore. However, after the incident, Booker shrugged it off with words of appreciation for the 19-year-old. Notably, he also called back his rookie year beef with Jimmy Butler to credit the Rockets’ Whitmore.

Kellen Olson, an AZ Sports reporter, posted that Booker held respect for Whitmore for competing and getting extra physical with him, via his X handle. And also reported how D-Book referenced his rookie season beef.

However, Butler didn’t have a similar response to the Suns star a few years back. In response to Devin Booker‘s rookie season beef, the Miami Heat star said, “He [Booker] was talking trash to me; crazy. I was like, ‘Excuse me.’ Sometimes I think you should just play.”

During tonight’s game, the Suns had a comfortable lead going into the last 7 minutes of the game. Booker further attempted to balloon the lead with a three-pointer. At the time, Whitmore shoved Booker from behind after the bucket. In response to that, the Suns star also shoved him back, and it ended up in an ugly verbal altercation. Before it could turn even uglier, teammates barged into separate the two. Whitmore definitely looked steamed up, going up against the established star.

The tussle didn’t fetch any favor for the rookie, as the Suns went on to take home a 105-110 win, powered by Booker’s 35 points. The rookie, coming off the bench, scored 14 points in his 17-minute stay.

Even before tonight’s beef with the Suns star, Cam Whitmore made himself a name for his skills and mentality on the court. He even got to the headlines for disregarding LeBron James.

Cam Whitmore disregards LeBron James

Two months back, the Rockets hosted the Lakers and defeated them in a dominating fashion. In that game, Whitmore came out with all guns blazing. He dropped 20 points coming off the bench to help his team take a 135-119 win. It turned to be a special night for the youngster as he won a game against his idol, LeBron James.

However, during his post-game interview, Whitmore disregarded the 4x NBA Champion. Speaking of his experience of playing against James, he said, “Great experience but don’t matter. I am a fan before the game, but on the floor, this guy is a competitor. So I mean, just go at him. Go at the whole team and that’s what we did.”
