Nikola Jokic Reminds Nuggets HC of Magic Johnson and Pistol Pete

Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic’s triple-double once again made fans proud. The champion successfully beat the New Orleans Pelicans by dishing out 27 points, 14 assists, and 10 rebounds. While not unexpected, the Nuggets’ 125-113 dominance over their Pelicans saw Jokic acquire his 12th triple-double of this season and the ultimate praise from coach Michael Malone. 

During the post-match conference, Malone praised Jokic’s no-look pass and said, “That’s Magic Johnson. That’s Pistol Pete Maravich.”

Nikola Jokic’s recent no-look pass to Aaron Gordon impressed both his coach and the fans. The skillful move not only garnered admiration from Coach Malone but also drew comparisons to the legendary Magic Johnson. Not just Malone but fans also admitted that Jokic’s execution mirrored the finesse and style reminiscent of the iconic Lakers figure.

Jokic brilliantly mastered Johnson’s signature no-look pass. Praising his move, one of the fans wrote, “He passes like Magic Johnson, never thought I’d say that about a center but it’s true. The cleanest passes we’ve seen since Magic, and so consistent.” the netizen added, “The last few years he’s gone from being one of the best passing big men ever, to the best passing big man ever, to one of the best passers ever at any position, we’ll see where he is at the end of his career.”

Magic Johnson is one of the best passers

One of the genius passers of basketball on the court was Johnson. The 5x champion’s passing skills truly set him apart in the Lakers’ history. Standing at 6-foot-9, his towering height granted him a unique advantage. His height allowed him to see over defenders and carve out passing lanes inaccessible to smaller guards like Stockton, Nash, or Cousy. Another great passer was Pete Maravich. He was a great scorer, however, what fans often missed out on was what a great and brilliant passer he was on the court.
