LeBron James hailed Nikola Jokic despite the embarrassment on his historic night. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar crossed the surreal 40,000 points mark tonight during the clash against the Denver Nuggets. While he held on to the feat till the halftime mark, it turned into a Nikola Jokic thriller in the second half. The Joker went on to drop 35 points with 10 rebounds and 7 assists to snatch the game away from the Lakers. Following the game, James had nothing but respect for the Siberian star.
During the post-game press conference, one of the reporters asked James whether there was an answer to stop Jokic. King James simply said, “No,” giving a flashback to 2016. The Akron Hammer had a similar response to a reporter when he was asked if Stephen Curry could be stopped. Similarly, he simply said, “You can’t.”
After simply relying “no” when asked if there’s an answer for Jokic, LeBron listed who else the league has no answer for.

Apart from that, he also went on to name other superstars whom he thinks the NBA doesn’t have an answer for. He named, “Joel, Joker, Luka, Giannis, Steph, KD. That’s just to name a few.” All eyes were on LeBron James before the tip-off as he trailed by only 9 points for the historical figure. The Nuggets, however, stole the attention away within minutes by taking a late lead in the fourth quarter.
Reigning Finals MVP led the visitors offense and played spoilsport in James’ iconic night. After leveling the Lakers’ score with only 4 minutes left on the game, the Denver sneaked in quick fire 10-point lead before the Lakers’ defense could catch a breath.
Notably, tonight was the Lakers’ 8th straight loss against the Joker’s Nuggets, including the series sweep in the 2023 Conference Finals. This stat truly opens up a rivalry between James and Jokic, similar to the one which he had against Steph.
