Is Nikola Jokic the Best?

The NBA landscape differs completely from what it was five years ago. The league has seen five different champions in the last five years. Teams like the Lakers, Warriors, Nuggets, Bucks, and Raptors have all won the NBA title. The league is more competitive than ever and in this era of uncertainty, two players have stood out. Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo have become two of the best players the NBA currently has to offer.

But according to Brian Scalabrine, Jokic should be considered the better player, as he can affect all facets of the game. He said, “He is doing everything with that team. He is playing the mentality game way up there. Defensively, I know he is not Giannis, but he is solid defensively. He is always at the right spot. The guy is so freaking good”.

Giannis is the best two-way player in the league. The impact he has on both ends of the court is the reason the Bucks are constantly competing for the title. But Jokic is coming off the back of a historical playoff run in which his team, the Denver Nuggets, won the NBA title. He also won the Finals MVP.
