The NFL and NBA have always gone hand in hand. NBA players have shown their love for America’s most popular sport very often, also picking their own teams to support. However, the New York Knicks swingman, Josh Hart, has gone out of his way to give the struggling Washington Commanders some advice.

The Knicks are currently having a terrific season, seeded 6th in the Eastern Conference. Hart himself has had a phenomenal run off the bench, contributing to some heroic wins. However, his favorite team, the Commanders have not enjoyed the purple patch the New York-based franchise has. Hence, the 28-year-old took it upon himself to guide the Commanders after the Los Angeles Rams went up 10-0.

Josh Hart has not shied away from sharing his bold takes on the NFL over the years. This time was nothing different. Watching the 4th-seeded Commanders in the NFC East go down 10-0 against NFC West’s 2nd-seeded team, the Knicks star could not hold back. He immediately took to X to share a plan of action for Washington.

Putting on his GM hat, Hart gave the Commanders a bold advice. “At this point the Commanders should just call it quits and get a better draft pick. Why even try?” he said. Placed last in the NFC East, the team may have a chance at bagging the 1st overall pick. However, seems like Josh Hart has given up on his favorite team’s future this season.

Josh Hart may have dropped his opinion on the Commanders’ dark fate. However, the Knicks star has faced disappointment before when he placed his trust on Terry McLaurin and Co. The 28-year-old has been an avid fan of the franchise for several years, only to watch his support end in vain.

Often taking up betting for “the love of the game”, Hart tried his luck on Thanksgiving Day as well. The Knicks swingman made 6 parlays that day. Some fans speculated that Hart may have placed at least a bet or two on his favorite team, the Commanders. However, his luck came up terribly short as he ended the night going 0/6 on his parlays. The Commanders, too, suffered a humiliating 35-point blowout against the Dallas Cowboys.

Although his statement may have come jestingly, the Washington-based franchise has some reflecting to do. Placed last in NFC East, it may not be easy for Terry McLaurin and Co. to bounce back. However, seems like Hart’s loyalty still lies with the franchise, despite giving up on their season.
