Simone Biles has the global attention all over her. Rightfully so, as she won her 7th Olympic gold for Team USA. Fans and celebrities across the country send her flowers, hailing her for this feat. However, there are always two sides to a coin. While a majority of fans celebrated her, a few sections of fans trolled the 27-year-old star and her husband, Jonathan Owens, over an irrelevant argument. Addressing this issue, Draymond Green stood up for a star gymnast and snapped back at the trolls.

After clinching her 7th gold, the Biles family was in celebration-galore. Notably, her husband, who is also an NFL star, took to his Instagram and dropped a picture of him kissing his wife. Importantly, he had his wife’s gold medal around his neck and it didn’t seem to sit well with the trolls, as they bombarded him with hate comments.

While Biles herself hit back at the haters like she usually does, Draymond Green also joined her. Featuring in the latest episode of The Draymond Green Show, the 4x NBA Champion dedicated a separate segment for Biles, addressing the issue. Green argued, “I don’t understand it, actually like, ‘Oh! Look at him, like damn right, you putting on your wife’s gold medal. Number one, he can’t win a gold medal, like they actually don’t have football.” Green hilariously paused to correct himself and said, “American football.” 

The Dubs star continued, “He can’t win a gold medal and people try to make it look at him with her. Of course, like, people are so dumb, man. And it be like people that aren’t capable of accomplishing nothing, will then try to take someone who’s accomplished, he’s living his dream of playing in the NFL.” 

After lashing out at the trollers, Green showed some love to Owens, saying, “People going to try to take it and make it like he’s less because his wife is more famous. What? So shout out to Jonathan Owens. Love to see him with the gold medal and I love the Tweet.”

As mentioned earlier, Biles gave a fitting reply to the trolls right after her husband’s comments blew up. Trolls aren’t anything new to the star gymnast. Over the years, she has been trolled for various reasons, like the team’s poor performance, hair, and many other things. Now they have gone after her husband.

Responding to a TikTok video, in the comments, Simone wrote, “Crazy thing is, I put my medal on every single one of my family members and took pictures. So don’t ever make assumptions. Like y’all are so f**ing miserable. Leave us alone.” Notably, Biles had a similar response to a troll that emerged earlier. Once Owens claimed that he was the “catch” in his relationship with the star gymnast.

As usual, the trolls were all over him on social media with hate comments. But, at that time, Jonathan Owens stepped up for himself, saying, “If you say something, they’re going to say something; if you don’t say something, they’re going to say something. So, just live your life. People are going to talk about you anyway, so you might as well do it the way you want to,” in an interview with US Weekly. As Owens pointed out that celebrity athletes are often exposed to blatant hate on social media over and over, no matter what they say.
