The alleged truth behind the success story of Michael Oher sent shock waves in the entertainment world. The 2009 film Blind Side directed by John Lee Hancock, was inspired from the Carolina Panthers star’s personal journey. The film went on to become a massive success and is considered a cult classic. However, a recent allegation from Oher dropped a bombshell on fans, including Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving. He took to his Twitter to express his displeasure.

Blind Side is one of the most inspiring sports dramas in the entertainment world. The film portrayed how Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy adopted a homeless kid at the age of 16 and guided him to success in both football and education. Eventually, the film became a huge success after its release and went on to gross over $300 millions. Notably, the film extracted its story from Michael Lewis’ book, The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game.

14 years after the release of the film, Michael Oher made a massive allegation on the Tuohy family. In his 14-page petition filed at Shelby County, Tennessee, he alleged that the Tuohys never really adopted him. Moreover, he added that the family tricked him into signing them as his conservators when he was 18 years old.

He further added that the agreement included a deal to pay off royalties from the film to Touhy’s two children. However, the family has denied the entire allegation and expressed their disappointment, reported ESPN.
