The Baltimore Ravens duo, Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry put up a masterclass show against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night football action in Week 7. The Ravens ultimately won the game 41-31. Amid the buzz around a particular play in the fourth quarter, LeBron James recognized the 30-year-old’s impressive night.

Lamar Jackson, the star quarterback of the side, did what he does best. The 27-year-old collected 17 of 22 passes along with 5 touchdown dimes, running 52 yards in 9 carries. However, the team had yet another impressive star performance, which superseded Jackson’s performance. It was Henry. The #22 running back covered 169 yards in 15 carries, which also included an 81-yard rush of Jackson’s selfless pass.

Impressed by the running Back’s performance, LeBron James took to his IG story to laud his performance. The Lakers superstar shared a post that carried Henry’s latest X post with “Hahahaha!!” and added a crown & salute emoji, along with Henry’s name.

The Ravens’ star’s X post read, “Should’ve scored smh slow af. Much love flock.” Importantly, King James, who made it to the top 100 Madden players, seems to be glued to his TV screen since evening.

While Derrick Henry’s entire game was a treat to watch, a particular play left everyone spellbound. It was an act of ultimate selflessness. During a play in the fourth quarter, Lamar Jackson passed the ball to Henry on a second-and-7, as a horde of Buccaneers linemen hounded him. Immediately after the pass, Jackson selflessly turned into a lead blocker, facilitating Henry to make the yard push. Speaking of this play, both Henry and Jackson went short of words at the presser.

Notably, it wasn’t just the duo, who were moved by the fourth-quarter surprise play. The entire NFL world also expressed their delight and awe at the performances. Fans stormed the comments section, speaking about Lamar Jackson’s selfless play and Henry’s presence of mind. Let’s hear it from the players involved.

Firstly, Jackson was left bamboozled by Henry’s play. Speaking of it in the post-game interview, he said, “He made a move, cut back across the field. I’m just trying to give him his own, so like ‘I got you’… I kept blocking them. He got a lot of yards.” On the other end, King Henry was still surprised at the Quarterback’s act of turning into a lead blocker.

Speaking of the sequence, Henry said, “Unbelievable for somebody as a quarterback in his caliber to be that unselfish. To be blocking down field. Teammate. That’s the type of guy, that can have a hell of a game, and don’t even know his stats… He’s incredible.” After this show-stealing performance, the Ravens are currently tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers for first place in the AFC North standings. So, in the coming weeks, fans can expect a similar performance from their stars.
