Josh Hart declared himself unlucky to the world! Well, he didn’t literally say that he was unlucky, but the way his last few days have gone, we think it’s safe to say, he’s jinxed. At least for now. It’s quite common for star athletes to engage in parlays as leisure activities and reap benefits in return. In that lineup, we have the New York Knicks‘ tough nut, who has lost quite a few since last week and followed by the latest disappointment involving Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen. More importantly, it has forced him to make a dramatic decision.
The all-new NFL season is up and running and fans have also prepared themselves for the treat ahead. While some enjoy the sport for its true value, a few others have an extra obligation. It’s nothing but engaging in parlays to mint some money. After a vibrant start to the first week, the football season has stepped into the second week. And Hart seems to have already given up.
Following Week 2’s first game between the Bills and Miami Dolphins, Josh Hart had an important announcement to make. The star took to his X handle and wrote, “I hate parlays. I’m officially done betting on football for the next 48 hours. See yall Sunday.” This isn’t a hasty decision, but a well-thought-out decision.

While he addressed the Week 1 misery already, the Knicks guard wasn’t expecting the setback that he’d face at the start of Week 2.

At the end of week 1, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen suffered an injury in the non-throwing arm. Throughout the lead-up to the Thursday matchup between the Bills and Dolphins, the management showed mixed signs about Allen’s participation. A few days ago, the star was cleared to practice, but the team’s head coach Sean McDermott said, “I don’t think so, he was able to do it,” addressing his ability to complete handoffs under center.
Above all, The Athletic carried out a piece stating the impact that the Bills could face due to Allen’s injury. However, the 28-year-old star made his way to the field on Thursday and also recorded a touchdown under his name. On the other hand, Josh Hart, who must have placed his bets on the Dolphins, wasn’t happy. Reacting to X’s post that stated ‘Josh Allen has never lost on Thursday in his career. 6-0.’, the Knicks guard wrote, “Yea till I add Bills money line to my parlay.”

Not to forget the star’s another disappointed post on X. On Week 1, he wrote, “I didn’t hit 1 parlay today. Football is back!” The star instantly turned into a laughingstock in the comments, as the fans put their creative juices to use and trolled the star. Anyway, the star has a chance to give it all back in 48 hours. Do you think Josh Hart will make the difference? Let us know in the comments.
