If there is one thing we know about LeBron James, it is that he loves to tweet. Just hours ago, LBJ tweeted his wish to be invited to the New Heights podcast of the Kelce brothers. Widely known as the funniest family duo, Travis and Jason Kelce were only too happy to acknowledge the King’s request.
Now, LeBron is back to tweet his excitement for the Chicago Bears vs. Washington Commanders game. He took to X (formerly known as Twitter), to share his enthusiasm at half-time. James’ passion for football is on an equal footing to basketball. So, it’s no surprise he would be wide awake for TNF.

If King James hadn’t become the NBA icon he is now, there is no doubt that he would become an NFL legend. That is how much the man loves football. LBJ started in the athletic arena with football. He was a scrawny kid during his high school days, but he made headlines with his ambidextrous skills on the field. James only played a single game as a freshman at St. Vincent-St. Mary as a wide receiver. He finished the game with more than 100 yards receiving and two touchdowns in a 15-14 loss.
From there, it was an uphill graph for the current 4x NBA champion. LeBron made plenty of local headlines playing football. Everybody was sure he would join the list of top NFL legends. But by junior year, he didn’t play football as much. Yet, before putting down his pads for good, James finished his junior season with 57 receptions for 1,160 yards and 15 touchdowns.

LeBron broke his wrist in between junior and senior seasons. The injury became the ultimate deciding factor for King James to quit football and focus solely on basketball. Of course, that does not stop football lovers from coming up with wild theories of LBJ being an NFL legend. Until then, we can’t wait to see LBJ’s preseason practices.
