Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson dropped their divided opinions on the recent LeBron James revelation. First of all, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar broke the internet with his podcast announcement. While he has been keeping up his word to his fans, James made a viral confession on the latest episode. The 4x Champion alongside JJ Reddick admitted they watch their own highlights on YouTube. In response to that, Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” leave dividing takes.

In the latest episode of NightCap, Sharpe brought in LeBron James’ confession for a debate. The former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver immediately sided with the superstar. Johnson added, “I’m that uncle at family functions… The younger generation that might not know. I tell, ‘Boy, I was that boy now.’ I’ll pull up my phone quick.” When Sharpe disagreed with his take, Johnson doubled it down, saying, “I ain’t got no shame I’mma show you who I was… sometimes I sit back I watch my highlights and I be like, ‘Goddamn.'”

While Shannon Sharpe was taken aback by Chad Johnson’s bold confession, King James also left a similar impact on the hoops community. LeBron James‘ confession is one of the biggest revelations in recent times, when he and his co-host agreed by saying, “Yeah, we’ve all been there for sure”. Moreover, the superstar admitted only after JJ Reddick put him on the spot and lightheartedly pushed him to reveal the truth.

However, on the other end, Shannon Sharpe had extremely opposite views on it. He said, “I ain’t googling myself.” The 55-year-old, who has been actively taking part in game analysis in both television and digital space, revealed that he would check his highlights to check the number of views on a particular video and if any other media spoke about his game.

Chad Johnson revealed the worst part of watching highlights

While Chad Johnson highlighted the perks of watching the highlights after retirement, he also revealed the drawbacks of watching it. He said, “The worst part about it is that I still think I can do… I still think I could do it… the body and the mind and the brain, it just doesn’t register.” Notably, Johnson retired from professional football in 2012 and has been on the other side of the line for more than 12 years.

It is surely a drawback for any player who hasn’t been on the floor for these long years and believes that he can still do it amid injury and body concerns. However, in the case of LeBron James, the superstar has still a few more seasons left in him. In fact, it will help him press the gas pedal.

Moreover, LeBron James himself said that watching his highlights will help during his slump form. He is currently playing in his 21st season, and by the look of it, he might need to watch his highlights for a few more years.

This season, after a lengthy stay at 9th seed, the Lakers have finally moved up to the 9th spot pulling down the Sac Town. James & Co would look to capitalize on their remaining 4 games and further climb the ladder.
