Paul George receives an embarrassing reminder! Not very long ago, the 8x NBA All-Star cracked yet another shocking trade in the off-season. This time, the star moved to the City of Brotherly Love, leaving behind an unfinished business in Los Angeles. Speaking of it, the 34-year-old dropped a casual reprimand, calling the LA Clippers “Disrespectful”. While it didn’t do enough damage, the star’s father reignited the party with a stringent accusation. However, before it could even blow up, NFL legend Shannon Sharpe quelled it with a reminder.
In the latest episode of Podcast P with Paul George, PG’s father joined the show with interesting facts from the star’s life. Speaking of his son’s free agency move, he said, “It was hurting… I feel like they stabbed us in the back.” Moreover, he also stated that PG13 did a “lot for the team” during his tenure.
While Paul George Sr.’s take took over the internet world, Shannon Sharpe cut in between with a slander. Featuring alongside Chad Johnson, Sharpe decided to serve up the truth in Night Cap. Instead of focusing on the ‘backstabbing’ part, the NFL legend focused on the collateral impact that George left on the LA Clippers after the 2019 trade.

Unc lists down the collateral damage caused by Paul George
Shannon Sharpe took the NBA world to the shocking trade from 2019. The man of the moment, Kawhi Leonard, after winning the title with the Toronto Raptors, had the power to orchestrate a blockbuster trade. He demanded the Clippers to rope in Paul George from the OKC Thunder for an expensive price.
“It’s tough when you think about what they gave up to get him,” said Sharpe. He further continued, “They gave up Shai Gilgeous. They gave up those draft picks, they gave up swap picks. I mean, they gave up a lot to get him.”

Shannon Sharpe didn’t stop at that. The legend even went on to criticize the duo’s performance on the LA side. He continued, “You look at all the draft picks that they surrendered to get PG and only went to the Conference Finals.” Above all, Sharpe even criticized PG and Leonard’s inability to stay healthy throughout their stint. He added, “Kawhi couldn’t can’t stay healthy. PG couldn’t stay healthy. The best chance they had was Bubble, and they gagged a 3-1 lead.”
This Clippers duo has gone as deep as the Western Conference Finals in 2021, where they eventually lost against the Phoenix Suns. Notably, Claw injured his knee in the West semis and missed the rest of the postseason. With these instances, Sharpe has hinted that the PG family’s call out on the Clippers is baseless.
