The Toronto Raptors almost cleared out every single player from their 2019 Championship glory. One of the first ones to get traded out of the Canadian franchise in this season was OG Anunoby. The New York Knicks roped in the Britain baller in December, in exchange for RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley. More than three weeks later, Anunoby opened up about facing his former team after tonight’s game at Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks hosted the Raptors for the first time since the Anunoby trade. The home side kept their intensity intact throughout the game and registered a blow-out 126-100. The new Knicks forward dropped 14 points with 7 rebounds against his former team. While it was all smiles for the home team picking up their 26th win, Anunoby had a slight concern following the game.
A reporter held up his mic against Anunoby in the locker room and asked him about playing against his former team. The former Raptors star said, “Still weird not being a Raptor… I loved it there.”

Even though the 26-year-old found a spot in one of the most popular franchises in the league, he still seemed to be missing his former team. On the other hand, the team literally has only player left in the roster from the 2019 Championship glory.
Following the blockbuster Paskal Siakam trade to the Indiana Pacers, the Raptors are only left with Chris Boucher, who came in the team exactly during the championship season.

At the same, Raptors trade drama is still isn’t over, as the recent reports revealed that the Canadian side could lose another player ahead of the trade deadline.
Lakers and Knicks eye another Raptor, as per Woj
Bruce Brown Jr., who has had a busy career ever since his rookie season. In his 6 season-long-career, the star has already played for 5 teams. Now, the Los Angeles Lakers and Knicks are eyeing rope him ahead of the trade deadline, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
A few days ago, the Pacers, who signed Brown during his free agency in the offseason, traded him for Paskal Siakam. And only days into blockbuster trade, many teams including LA & NY look to rope him in.
There is a big trade market for Bruce Brown, which includes the Lakers and Knicks as prime contenders to potentially acquire him, per @wojespn.

Notably, the Lakers adamantly attempted to trade Brown during the off-season, fresh off his championship glory. But, the Pacers took the deal and the LA side settled for Gabe Vincent. Unfortunately, he has been warming the bench with an injury after having played only 5 games this season.
