Is Jayson Tatum's private life becoming more public with his latest family revelations?

Every move that Jayson Tatum makes, there’s necessarily a meaning attached to it. For instance, during the 2024 Christmas Day game, he wore a Lakers armband with the number 24 to pay tribute to the late Kobe Bryant. Similarly, he has plenty of gestures that carry a personal JT touch. In the same vein, the Boston Celtics superstar’s latest act, breaking away from his 7-year-old tradition, gave away his second son’s name.

Tatum’s first son, Jayson “Deuce” Christopher Tatum Jr, came into his life very early with his high school girlfriend, Toriah Lachell. After he made a grand entry into the league, fans witnessed plenty of wholesome father-son moments on the court, as if Deuce was part of the Celtics rosters. Guess what? The Celts won the 2024 championship. Let’s just say Deuce made it happen. And to make it merrier, several sources reported the birth of JT’s second son with his girlfriend, Ella Mai, amid the Paris Olympics glory.

The superstar had always kept his relationship with Ella Mai private. Actually, the couple has not yet publicly admitted it and often declined to comment. However, in a video shared online, Jayson Tatum posed alongside Mai and their newborn. In another video, we saw JT taking a solo picture with Deuce while Mai held the infant. While the couple hasn’t made any public announcement yet, Jayson Tatum gave it away with his latest IG post.

Three weeks into the fresh season, Tatum dropped a series of pictures on his IG. The post included the superstar’s images from the games, travel, and practice sessions. Notably, a particular picture stood out from the lot, as it was a close-up of his kicks, Tatum 3 PF ‘Zero Days Off’. It certainly pointed out how Tatum broke his 7-year-long tradition to reveal his second son’s possible name, Dylan.

Almost everyone knows how much Jayson Tatum loves his son. We can all witness the gestures he makes for his son, Deuce. Barring the fatherly hugs and kisses on the courtside, JT has plenty of other ways to show his fondness. Firstly, he calls himself Big Deuce, a nickname born out of his son’s name. Moreover, he has his son’s face inked over his leg, a lethal weapon that has helped him reach this far in the NBA world.

Apart from these gestures, Tatum has followed another wholesome act since his rookie season. The superstar writes his son’s name, ‘Deuce’, on his sneakers before every game. Moreover, he recently broke the tradition and added another name, along with Deuce. Well, we can’t confirm anything until Tatum himself opens up. Maybe we could see him on the courtside in a couple of years.

Nevertheless, it has worked out well for Jayson Tatum, as he has consistently performed in all eight games. Notably, in the season opener, he made it loud and clear that he was there to make noise, sinking 8 three-pointers. Currently, he averages 30.0 ppg and is on track for the MVP Race.
