“Never Thought This Would Happen for Me”: Left in Tears on Own Prom Night, LeBron James’ Wife Savannah Spent a Portion of Her Wealth for Young Girls in 2020

Apart from his God-given talent and skill, LeBron credits his success to his wife, Savannah James. LeBron and Savannah have been together since high school and tied the knot in 2013. With a haunting high school memory of crying on her prom night, Savannah spent her time trying to make high school prom a memorable day for the girls of Akron.

Savannah James does not want young girls to re-live her past

In an interview with Vogue, Savannah shared her nightmarish experience of high school prom. With LeBron James’ superstar status since he was a kid, all eyes were on LeBron and Savannah when they went to their high school prom together. But Savannah was unhappy that night because she was bamboozled by her hair stylist, who gave her “one of the worst hairstyles” of her life on her biggest high school day. “I left the salon in tears.” Savannah said as she talked about her prom night.

Years later, when Savannah had the time and funds to make lives better for the kids of Akron, she decided to give high school girls the kind of prom they deserved. With a haunting prom night memory of her own, the 37-year-old started her “I PROMise Makeover” program in 2011. She provided high school girls with prom dresses, shoes, accessories, and a makeover to make them feel their best on their biggest day. In 2020, Savannah hosted 25 high school students and helped them get ready for their high school prom.

Savannah claimed that her favorite moment was when a young girl would not stop crying tears of joy because of how beautiful she looked after her makeover. “I’m just so excited. I never thought that this would happen for me.” The high school girl told Savannah.

The King’s support system

Not only is Savannah James a charitable person, but she is also a support system for her husband. Being deemed ‘The Chosen One’ since he was in high school, LeBron had a lot of pressure riding on his young shoulders. His wife, Savannah, has stood by his side through thick and thin, and they have been together for more than two decades.

With 3 beautiful children, all living up to LeBron and Savannah’s expectations, the couple has done a great job raising their kids despite how busy they usually are.
