The three discussed his contract extension, the things he had been doing for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup, and more. Eventually, Skip Bayless gave his take on what he felt about Reaves since he had seen him play in college as well.

Bayless said, “Here’s the point about Austin Reaves. I’ve seen anything like the Austin Reaves from college and what he turned into in pro basketball.”

Austin Reaves went undrafted in the 2021 NBA draft. However, he made his way to the Lakers squad. And as time went on, Reaves got more and more playing time to prove himself to the point that he is now in the starting lineup.

Also, from going undraftred to getting a 3-year $54 million deal was huge for Reaves. He is also playing well in the FIBA World Cup for Team USA. So, all in all, Reaves has proven to be more than just a role player.
