Last year, the James family brought out their artistic skills to celebrate Christmas. Bryce and Zhuri painted a bear-shaped white toy with some lovely colors. Bryce mixed a shade of pink and blue and poured it upon his toy. Savannah turned into a videographer as she recorded these moments and shared them on social media. However, the mother too took part in the activity as she painted her toy green. But her daughter Zhuri made a hilarious comparison: “Billie Eilish?” she quipped. However, LeBron James didn’t spend time with his family. He, along with his team, were preparing to face the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day.

Well, it is holiday season once again and Savannah James was on the ‘Everybody’s Crazy’ podcast to talk about it. Her conversation with April McDaniel took an interesting twist when Savannah disclosed that one of LeBron James‘ gestures on the big day brought her to tears.

The show features a segment where fans call in to share their ‘crazy’ stories with the ladies. On hearing a caller talk about a special Christmas gift, McDaniel asked her co-host Savannah if she had ever experienced an overwhelming moment like that after opening a gift. While laughing, she answered in the affirmative. Savannah said:

“I can’t. I’m not saying what it was. But I have, and I was almost brought to tears.”

But were the tears good or bad? Well, LeBron James’s wife shared, it was: “Good. Good tears. Great gift. Shout out to my husband. Great gift… Because I wasn’t expecting it. It was something that I’m like, I’m never going like, I could keep putting this out in the universe. This is a thing. It’s never gonna touch me. And I opened the box I was like [surprised]… I was so happy.”

April McDaniel loved that for her friend Savannah James. But when she asked Savannah if she would like to feel that way every year at Christmas, the mother of three replied, “I mean, it would be nice, but I’m not like, you know, if it happens, it happens.” However, McDaniel stated that she would love to feel like that every Christmas.

Savannah’s adaptable nature is one of the factors that has helped the couple maintain a beautiful relationship for over twenty years. However, it hasn’t always been easy, as even on Christmas, she often can’t stay at home because of LeBron James’s career commitments.

Savannah James’ struggles on Christmas day are nothing new…

Christmas is typically the time when people stay at home with their loved ones, enjoying food and quality time together. But for Savannah James, the holiday looks quite different. She often had to travel wherever LeBron James’s career took him. And they have this tradition where they have brunch and then order Chinese food for dinner. So every Christmas dinner, they have Chinese food.

“That has been our whole lives. Well, my whole life,” Savannah told April on the show, talking out how they almost never get to spend the holiday at home. “It’s here or there or somewhere.”

She further added, “I would say, like, 6 years in a row, we were here (in LA). So I would, like, ship all the gifts to the hotel, had a hotel put up a Christmas tree. Like, I had to create Christmas where we were because we weren’t home for a long time.” April McDaniel was shocked to hear that Savannah and her family almost never get the opportunity to celebrate a regular Christmas.

This year might be no different. Maybe when LeBron James eventually decides to hang up his shoes, which may not be too far off, Savannah will finally be able to enjoy Christmas with her whole family.
