LeBron James‘ love for the Knicks is well documented, as he has spoken about it on multiple occasions. Often, he teased about going to the Mecca of the NBA world. It seems like he even fooled the Billionaire Knicks owner, James Dolan, once with his infamous antics, ‘The Decision’. Ex Knicks star, Zach Randolph made some shocking revelations during Bron’s move to the Miami Heat in 2010.
“We had a lot of talent on that team… We were balling, we were above 500… they thought Bron was coming to New York, but Bron was never coming to New York. Then they traded their whole team… they got rid of me, got rid of everybody, we like damn, and we was hooping… so they got rid of the whole team,” the ex-Knick admitted, on an episode of Podcast P with Paul George.
This move by James Dolan and the then-team President, Donnie Walsh, backfired big time because Bron decided to take his talent to the Miami Heat. The NY team was left empty-handed after getting rid of big names like Jamal Crawford, Mardy Collins, Malik Rose, Stephon Marbury, and Zach Randolph.

The grueling fact that troubles the Knicks fanbase is that while they are still waiting for their first Championship since 1973, LeBron won 4 titles, 2 with the Heat. Although the Knicks brought in players like Carmelo Anthony, they still failed to go all the way.
Will LeBron James ever come to the New York Knicks?
The Knicks were plagued by injuries this season. It was undoubtedly one of the reasons which prevented them from reaching the Eastern Conference Finals. Before the playoffs even began, Julius Randle’s injury had New York gasping for air. As it progressed, many players like OG Anunoby, Josh Hart, Jalen Brunson, and Mitchell Robinson were also injured. Next season, they will certainly focus on managing injuries while changing their roster dynamic.

Earlier, Stephen A. Smith confessed that the Knicks had messed up a chance to sign LeBron. However, to this date, he is still pitching the idea for his beloved team to trade for LeBron James. On the Stephen A. Smith Show, he said, “You want LeBron at the Garden? Give us a couple of first-round picks and a player. If you are the Los Angeles Lakers, you may want to consider it.”
He even teased the idea of changing his mind about the GOAT debate between LeBron James and Michael Jordan, if the 4x Champion wins his 5th ring with the Knicks! However, the Knicks need to offload a few stars to have a shot at getting Bron to the Mecca of basketball. It may come at the cost of trading Julius Randle. So the main question is- is it worth taking the risk if the 39-year-old vet can help the Knicks end their Championship drought?
