It must be a cool feeling to have LeBron James as your dad. However, it comes with many responsibilities. As a child of one of the best ever to do it, these responsibilities are multi-fold in nature. Both Bronny James and Bryce James have responded well to the burden on them. Not having the same hype as their father in high school, they have still showcased some great glimpses. Whether they make it to the NBA or not remains to be seen, but they have certainly been climbing closer.

While acknowledging the uphill climb of one of his sons, LeBron James must be glad for one of his friends, too.

LeBron James acknowledges a childhood duo

Bronny James was having the year of his dreams before the cardiac arrest episode. He was selected for the All-American McDonald’s game where he nailed five threes in a loss.

He was also a part of Team USA during the Nike Hoops Summit and dropped 11 points in a win. Therefore, the interest in the four-star recruit was indeed high. In 2016, Duke and Kentucky have given him offers. But this year in May, he decided to join USC.

He chose USC over his home state squad, Ohio State. Now, the Ohio Buckeyes have offered his brother Bryce James a chance to sign with them. As a recruitment event, he also went to the USC State-Maryland football game. And there is another person who received an offer from the coveted program that produced D’Angelo Russell, a teammate of LeBron James. 6’3” Guard DeZhon Hall received one too.

The Guard has received two-way praise and is rising through the ranks of the 2026 Draft Class. LeBron James posted a story about this achievement. In his story, he wrote, “SO AMAZING & WHOLESOME”. This story redirects to a post on Bryce James’ fan page. In the opening picture, this post has an adorable image of both Bryce and Hall as kids.

Huge season for both James brothers

Bronny’s cardiac arrest ordeal has surely hinged his preparations before the huge NCAA Division I basketball season. However, with encouraging reports of his comeback, he may still make it to the first round of the NBA draft. But first, many will be watching cautiously how he reacts while hooping during the season. On the other hand, Bryce is going to get it done with Notre Dame High School. This season will determine his recruiting status and will be huge for his prospects in pro leagues. 

Whatever transpires, LBJ has seen his sons give a hell of a fight.
