The league has always had some villains. Athletes who aren’t liked by many but compel everyone to pay attention to them. Although the image of a villain is not new, Dillon Brooks surely has created a special place for himself. In fact, he has even compared his villain persona to the late great Kobe Bryant‘s “Mamba Mentality.” Needless to say, the comparison can be taken as an admiration at best because Brooks still has a lot to prove in the league.
Despite his antics, Brooks is a great athlete and someone who has shown great potential. Amidst a new season rollout, the 27-year-old has found himself amidst a child custody battle. As per the latest reports, the Canadian native could potentially lose his 2 kids to this battle if things don’t roll out his way.

For a young and promising athlete to be involved in such emotional turmoil is going to be costly. Brooks has two kids with Heather Andrews. She has filed a “petition to determine parental relationship.” Andrews is seeking full custody of their daughter while Brooks is pushing for joint custody. However, either way, this will be a lose-lose situation for Brooks because he will have to pay child support. Going by the NBA’s previous records, the child support payments have been a real disaster.
As per the rules of California, the Houston Rockets star will have to pay monthly child support. Going by the millions of dollars that Brooks earns, the payments could go to an absurd level. Additionally, he will also be sharing his NBA/Rockets health insurance benefit with the child in question here.
