Ever since Jimmy Butler demanded a trade from Miami, there have been speculations about him moving to Phoenix in exchange for Bradley Beal. But the problem is, Pat Riley seems to have no interest in the Suns superstar, mainly because of his massive contract. Moreover, Beal holds the cards to decide his future, thanks to the no-trade clause in his deal. Thus enter the Bucks!

Of course, to facilitate a move that makes everyone happy, the Suns would have to pull off a three-team trade. And veteran insider Marc Stein believes the Milwaukee franchise could be that third team to take Bradley off the table. “The Bucks, to this point, have been more frequently painted as a team likely to rekindle their previous interest in Phoenix’s Bradley Beal if they intend to pursue a trade for a player in the $50 million range.” Stein reported.

Yes, the Bucks have shown interest in acquiring the shooting guard once before. But the deal never went through. Well, they have a chance to get the job done this time. However, they would first be required to get rid of second apron restrictions. That means they will have to trade Pat Connaughton, who is owed $9.4 million in salary this season. And it should be done in a way that keeps them away from taking back that salary.

Although Pat was a key part of the Bucks’ championship run four years ago, he has fallen out of the team’s rotation ever since Doc Rivers took charge. With only 21 appearances this season, he is averaging less than sixteen minutes of playing time. So, losing him would not be a big blow to the team and will make them eligible to pursue Beal.

Bucks might have to get rid of another Big Star to acquire Bradley Beal

Even after parting ways with Connaughton, the Milwaukee team might have to get rid of some key assets to make room for Bradley’s $50.2 million salary. Unfortunately, it could mean trading away Khris Middleton and maybe even Bobby Portis. As great as Middleton is, his game has declined this season since returning from his dual ankle surgeries. And it might be time to let him go to keep the championship dream alive.

Well, Beal’s agent clearly stated, “There have been no discussions about trades with the Suns or any other team. Bradley’s total focus is on helping the Suns turn things around.” And even the superstar reminded everyone that he has the power to deny any potential move with his no-trade clause. However, the opportunity to join the Bucks could lure Beal to waive that clause because he would be going to a contending team that aligns with his goals. So, there is a chance we see him wearing a Bucks uniform soon following a blockbuster trade. What are your thoughts?
