This trade window is reminding us no one in the NBA is safe. If you’re still reeling from the Anthony Davis-Luka Doncic trade, I’ve got news for you. Although it will not top the shock we received yesterday, it’s still huge. The Kings were itching to trade Fox as the deadline loomed closer. Contract talks weren’t going well, and the team’s chances to compete for a title were becoming less realistic. To top it off, the relationship between both sides had soured.

After the Kings succumbed to a tough 144-110 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, they dropped to 1-4 on their road trip. With their next stop in Minnesota on Monday, the Kings are wrapping up a challenging six-game stretch. But here’s the real news: Sacramento made a monumental move on Sunday. They traded Fox to the San Antonio Spurs, where he’ll team up with the rising star, Victor Wembanyama. In a blockbuster multi-team deal, the Kings will also receive Zach LaVine from the Chicago Bulls, as reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania.

With LaVine headed to Sac-Town, the Golden State Warriors will now have to look elsewhere or maybe at the Windy City only. The Warriors had been looking to add another superstar besides Stephen Curry.

They were also on the hunt for a big man. we saw what Quinten Post could do with Curry but he still needs to develop more. So there are only two options left for Golden State. Jimmy Butler or Nikola Vucevic.

Joe Cowley has reported that the Chicago Bulls still have some strings to pull. Will the Warriors go for the Bulls center Vucevic? Or will they go all out in hopes of making Butler move to California? If they want Butler, they might want to hurry. Because the Milwaukee Bucks are interested in the 6x All-Star as well.

Time is running out and so are the Warriors’ options. GM Mike Dunleavy even knocked on the Lakers door to see if LeBron James was available. NBA insider Brett Siegel reports that there was a ton of chatter last night, with people wondering if LeBron might actually end up with the Warriors. Teams and insiders were all over it. But it seems like that’s not happening–LeBron’s staying put in LA.

What’s your perspective on:

Did the Kings make a smart move trading Fox, or will they regret losing him to the Spurs?

Have an interesting take?

So what will the Warriors do?

The Warriors need to act fast

The trade of a 25-year-old perennial MVP candidate is a bold statement, but it also highlights how valuable consistency and commitment are in today’s NBA. When a team like that makes a move, it forces you to reassess the value of every superstar, including Curry.

This trade should have the Warriors rethinking their future. Why? Because if a player like Doncic, five-time All-NBA and barely 25, can be traded, no one’s future in the NBA is safe. The Warriors could’ve made a competitive offer, but Dallas didn’t even shop him around. The Mavericks are showing how high the bar is for commitment in the NBA.

For the Warriors, this trade highlights two key lessons: First, don’t take Curry for granted. He’s been the league’s best bargain since 2012, and even though he’s aging, he’s still worth every penny. Where would the Warriors be without him? Probably hoping for lottery luck.

Second, the Warriors will never find another Curry. Period. There’s no player like him, and they need to capitalize on what time they have left with him. The NBA trade deadline is Thursday, and while a rash move like the Mavs’ might not be wise, it’s time to go all in on Curry while they still can.
