The New York Knicks and Anthony Edwards-led Minnesota Timberwolves will meet tonight as part of their NBA preseason preparations. Both teams aim to advance beyond the first round of the playoffs in the upcoming season, but they must first demonstrate their postseason potential. The Knicks bolstered their roster by adding Donte DiVincenzo, aiming to bring toughness.
On the other hand, Minnesota has acquired Shake Milton from the 76ers, hoping he’ll make an impact off the bench. Meanwhile, the presence of Edwards and Karl Anthony Towns against Julius Randle-led New York Knicks remains in question.

According to the latest injury reports, only two players, Jaylen Clark and Jaden McDaniels, can be counted out. Clark is out until early next year owing to his torn Achilles while McDaniels missed Minnesota’s second preseason game in Abu Dhabi due to the injury. In all likelihood, Antman will make an appearance in Madison Square Garden today.
Meanwhile, there is no official word on Karl Anthony-Towns yet, after scoring 14 points in 18 minutes last Saturday. Amid trade rumors, his presence against Julius Randle and co. will be significant. Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau proclaimed Towns is “as gifted as they come,” according to New York Post’s?Stefan Bondy. Towns is a “potential Knicks trade target”.
