Steve Kerr had earlier announced his intention to showcase multiple starting lineups during the preseason. What’s even more intriguing is his plan to have star players from the Warriors come off the bench on several occasions. The highly anticipated clash between the Lakers and the Warriors is scheduled for Saturday, October 7th, 2023. It will kick-off time around 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT.

In an exciting revelation, the Warriors have unveiled their starting five, including Chris Paul, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevon Looney. Notably, Draymond Green will be taking on a bench role, although there’s still room for potential lineup adjustments.

Kerr has opted for a more balanced lineup that features shooters. With four perimeter players on the court, their offensive strategy seems focused on stretching the floor and capitalizing on the 3-point range. A player like Wiggins, with his speed, strength, and athleticism, seems ideally suited for such a role among the top four.

At 38 years old, LeBron James is the oldest active player. In the previous season, he faced some challenges due to his aging body. He had to miss 27 games owing to his right foot injury. Given his age and his history of injuries, it is understandable that he might not play the entire preseason. However, heading into the 2023-24 season, James claims to be in excellent health. Lakers’ head coach Darvin Ham claims that medical staff and LeBron’s trainer are ensuring James’ well-being throughout the season.
