Anthony Edwards, sitting on top of the world, had a bizarre request from Charles Barkley. The Timberwolves finally took it home after a brief scare in the second quarter. Now, as they head to their home court to face the Mavericks in the Conference Finals, Ant-Man has some off-court duties to fulfill Barkley’s Minnesota-centric request.
During the post-game interview, Chuck, after appreciating the young guard, said, “I have not been to Minnesota in probably 20 years,” and immediately Ant-Man countered by saying, “Bring your a**.” Unfazed by it, the Suns’ legend continued, “Can you send me a list of good restaurants? We’re gonna be there for like five days. I want you to send some good restaurants.”
Taking up the request happily, Anthony Edwards said, “Imma find your number through somebody,” and promised to send the list. Moreover, Barkley didn’t end it there, he even followed the rising superstar to the Instagram comments section. Featuring his request, he wrote, “Hey I need those restaurants recs man,” tagging Ant-Man.

Charles Barkley‘s friendly request didn’t just pop out of the blue sky, but out of a brewing respect for the rising superstar. In reaction to Edwards’ impeccable run in the postseason, the legend went on live TV and said, “They have that (Edwards) guy. If you have that guy, that boy, that bulldog, he might well be a damn wolf because he ain’t messing around. He’s like ‘Boys, y’all come on follow me’ and the other guys are following him.”
Notably, Edwards had a shaky start to the game tonight. He had a rough game, shooting the ball 6-24 from the field. In the first half, the star managed to drop only 4 points but ended the night with 16 points. The second-half flurry included two clutch three-pointers, ballooning the lead to two digits in the last few minutes.

The Wolves started the series with a 2-0 series win on the road. It was enough for Chuck to write off the defending champions. He went to trash MVP Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray and said, “They’re gonna sweep the Denver Nuggets. Period.” But it immediately backfired on the legend, as the Nuggets came back with three wins on the trot.
On top of it, coach Mike Malone took a slight dig at Chuck, saying he used the edit of analysts writing off the Nuggets to motivate the players. Barkley didn’t receive the statement well, as he went to rip apart Malone on live TV. He said, “Dude, we get paid to give an opinion. If you watched those first two games, you didn’t think Denver was going to win,” along with NFSW statement.
Now that the Wolves have decimated the Nuggets in Game 7, Chuck can have the final laugh.

On the other end, Malone wasn’t very happy with the result. During the post-game press conference, when a reporter asked about the Nuggets blowing a 20-point lead, he steamed off at the reporter.
Malone said, “The season’s over. That’s what’s hard. F**k being up by 20… Stupid a** questions.” Despite winning ‘MVP’, Jokic couldn’t carry his team for another ring. Will the Wolves win their first? Let us know in the comments.
