Jimmy Butler has had a very happening life since his 7-game suspension got rolling. He’s playing poker, trying his luck at soccer, clearly obsessing over David Beckham, working at his coffee store, and God knows what else. But amidst the distractions, something quite grave is looming at large. It could be the truth behind Pat Riley‘s harsh decision for his star boy. While Butler is busy working out with Satou Sabally, an ex-Miami Heat hooper has spilled some beans.

Tim Hardaway Sr., who played for the Miami Heat (1996-2001), shared his thoughts on the situation between Butler and the franchise. Speaking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, the 58-year-old league legend said: “You don’t disrespect authority, and that’s what Jimmy Butler has been doing. And I tell you this, Pat Riley, this boat is going to sail on top of the water as long as Pat Riley’s there. Jimmy Butler’s trying to sink that ship. That ship is not going to sink. I’m all with Pat Riley.”

Simply put, currently, Jimmy Butler is a player under contract. But, he is going out of the way to become a rebel. And this, for Hardaway Sr. is nothing but an attempt at sinking the team’s ship. Butler can still opt for the $52 million deal with the team he wants to. At the end of the day, it will come down to the organization and its wants. Tim Hardaway further said that the 35-year-old is too accustomed to hearing “Yes” as an answer. And for once when the team refused something he went all: “Oh I can’t play now.” Thus to silence all the loud noises around, the Heat president might just have the right weapon.

“I know Pat, and that’s what is going on,” the ex-NBA legend said. “And I knew that I said, look, Pat got a 10-page letter to the Players Association, and he’s going to have a film showing why he suspended this man before that even happened. And guess what? He suspended him for seven games, and I know he gave them a 10-page letter, and I know he gave them some film to show them why he suspended them.”

So remember when the NBPA called out Pat Riley’s seven-game suspension for Jimmy Butler too harsh and inappropriate? Yes, things have taken an interesting turn. Miami is preparing a 10-page report and a film to explain their actions. Last week, they announced the suspension of the 6x NBA All-Star for “detrimental conduct.” He could lose up to $2.35 million for the seven games he’ll miss. The dollar amount could change, however, pending the outcome of the grievance.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Jimmy Butler's rebellious nature a threat to Miami Heat's legacy under Pat Riley's leadership?

Have an interesting take?

Now, we just have to wait for the outcome of the grievance in this matter. Who will have the last laugh? Pat Riley or Jimmy Butler? As of now, it does look like the 79-year-old boss has the upper hand. Meanwhile, the superstar forward is making the most of his time working with the Dallas Wings star Satou Sabally.

Jimmy Butler’s latest workout routine with WNBA star amidst suspension

Suspended Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler is keeping things ‘spicy’ during his time away. He’s been hitting the court with WNBA All-Star Satou Sabally, the Dallas Wings’ star forward. This unlikely duo has set the basketball world buzzing. While Butler’s Heat’s future remains uncertain, his dedication to the sport remains clear as day.

Instead of lying low, Jimmy hits the gym hard and teams up with Sabally. She’s a 2024 WNBA All-Star and the league’s Most Improved Player, famed for her versatility and sharp basketball IQ. Together, they’re cooking something special. Social media is buzzing with clips of their grind. Footwork? Check. Mid-range magic? Double check. Defensive drills? All in. This duo is redefining “training day” vibes! Meanwhile, Butler is heard saying: “That’s what I do. I give Individuals hope. I give them hope, so they don’t hate you forever!” What’s his indication? It’s a mystery for now.

As we all know, the drama never stops in Miami. It’s a full-on back-and-forth between the boss and his employee. And none of them are backing out. Therefore, bringing back my previous question out here again: Who will have the last laugh? Pat Riley or Jimmy Butler? We’ll know. Soon.
