Stephen Curry took over the internet last month after a video of him working out in the Abu Dhabi desert was posted on social media. Steph was on vacation with his wife, Ayesha Curry. But the 4-time Champion did not forget to work on his legs and cardio during his off time. He adopted a new technique for his workout, which suited the location perfectly. The Baby-Faced Assassin made an uphill sprint in the desert and then proceeded to mount the sandy hill sideways.
Watching the Golden State Warriors’ incredible feat, an NBA legend tried to copy Stephen Curry, leading to him making a mockery of himself.

2-time NBA Champion Kenny “The Jet” Smith had a great NBA Career. After he retired from basketball, Kenny joined the media as an analyst on Inside The NBA, which did wonders for his career. The NBA Legend has accomplished a lot of things in his career, but there is one thing he has always been mocked for, his running. Kenny is constantly trolled about his running on Inside The NBA, and his co-analysts, Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Ernie Johnson, frequently race Kenny to the board during the show’s famous Half-time segment.

Kenny made a mockery of himself yet again as he tried to copy Stephen Curry’s incredible uphill desert sprint in Abu Dhabi. While the 4-time Champion looked extremely fit and graceful during his version of the workout, Kenny’s version looked very slow-paced and disorganized. The 58-year-old could barely run 50 meters due to exhaustion and bad knees and collapsed on the sand right after. “Yo Steph, you’re not the only one trying to get in shape for the season.” Kenny said before starting the sprint. Maybe the NBA legend was preparing to race Shaq and Chuck to the Board on the TNT show.

Kenny Smith was lethal in his heyday
Although Kenny Smith is trolled for his bad knees and running today, he was a gifted athlete in his heyday. He played 10 years in the NBA and helped Hakeem Olajuwon and the Houston Rockets win back-to-back NBA Championships in 1994 and 1995. Kenny was a solid 15-point scorer in his prime and was a lethal shooter from beyond the arc.

The Jet even participated in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest twice and finished second in 1990 to The Human Highlight Reel Dominique Wilkins. Kenny scored a career-high 41 points against the Los Angeles Lakers in 1993 and even put up some decent performances in the NBA Finals. Kenny might not be the athlete he once was, but he sure made a valiant effort to match the fitness of Chef Curry. Maybe this effort will help him get some wins in the race to the board on Inside the NBA this season.
