The global sporting giant NBA never ceases to impress its fans. While the fast-paced nature of the sport keeps the fans in the arena on their feet, it is all set to make a similar experience for home fans. And NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is already in talks to bring out an enhanced virtual experience of the game.

Hours after the launch of the Apple Vision Pro headset, Silver met Apple CEO Tim Cook over the development of the NBA’s new app, reported Sportico. The league already serves content in VR. Speaking to Sportico, Adam Silver said that the league wants to bring VR cameras into the arenas. Most importantly, the fans can have a first-hand experience in the upcoming All-Star week in two weeks.

He also added, “This is in many ways better than sitting courtside… It can take you anywhere on the floor. It can give you the perspective of a player … This will, to me, be how people over time experience sports.”

While Silver rested his faith completely on the technology, Tim Cook also pitched in with a promising statement. Cook said, “It feels like the start of something really big,” as per the article.
