The Milwaukee Bucks arrived a day early in New Orleans on Monday. The hoped the roads would be friendly to travel to the arena for their scheduled game against the Pelicans. However, on Tuesday, the Big Easy recorded historic snowfall. Some areas saw 10 inches of snow clogging the roads. For safety reasons, flights were canceled. Since then, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks had no clear indication of when they could leave.
The NBA potentially faced a crisis with the Bucks’ arrival back home for their game against the Heat being uncertain. But it seems the situation in New Orleans has calmed down. After experiencing measurable snowfall for the first time in 15 years, flights are said to resume on Thursday afternoon.

Flights are supposed to begin flying out of MSY this afternoon. I’ve been told as long as the Bucks can stick to the schedule above, the game is on. https://t.co/2QQh0UAIY3

The Bucks are said to fly out of New Orleans in the afternoon. And according to Eric Nahm, despite arriving just hours before the game, the NBA has no plans to postpone their matchup against the Heat. “The Bucks are scheduled to fly out of New Orleans at 2 p.m. and arrive in Milwaukee around 4 p.m. Flights are supposed to begin flying out of MSY this afternoon. I’ve been told as long as the Bucks can stick to the schedule above, the game is on,” Nehm said in his tweet.
As for the game against the Pelicans, the league has yet to provide any updates on the same. The Pelicans play the Grizzlies in Memphis on Thursday night, giving them some time to unwind prior to their game. As for the Milwaukee Bucks, a hard test is imminent for them.

Usually, on game day, NBA players have a set routine. Since it’s the Bucks let’s talk about Giannis Antetokounmpo. In an earlier interview, the Greek Freak revealed his gameday routine starts as early as 6:30 am. He prefers to get some treatment, spend some time with his kids, and even get some court work in.
During this time the Bucks also watch film to prepare for their opponents. It’s usually followed by a good rest before the game. Antetokounmpo then arrives at the arena three hours before tip-off to warm up and get more treatment done before the game. Nehm saying the Bucks land at 4 p.m. gives the team just 2.5 hrs before the game starts at 6:30 p.m. CST.
This means none of the Bucks will have ample time to follow their regular routine. Everything is bound to be hectic. As per the recent update, things have gotten worse. The Bucks’ flight is running late, pushing their landing time to 5 p.m. Likewise, it’s not going to be an easy night for Giannis Antetokounmp and his teammates taking on a highly physical Heat team.

On the other hand, the Miami Heat are battling their own battle. With Butler essentially tripling down on his trade request, the franchise once again levied a two-game suspension on their distant superstar.
Both teams look to have their unique sets of challenges to counter before they play tonight. For the Bucks, it could be physical exhaustion. The Heat have to get through their mental hurdles. Which of the two do you think faces the tougher test? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
