This season was a bit off for Trae Young, mostly due to injuries. Playing for only 51 games, the talented point guard averaged 23.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 11.5 assists. Even though his stats may not seem much for a player of his calibre, the Atlanta Hawks are well aware of his contributions to the team. Spending six seasons with his team, the Hawks have remunerated Trae quite well which is reflected in his career earnings. So, let’s take a look at what the 26-year-old hoopster has amassed throughout his career.
What is Trae Young’s net worth?
In 2024, Forbes curated a list of the highest-paid athletes in the world and listed Trae Young at the 44th spot estimating his net worth to be around $47.3 million. By 2025, it was reported by some other sources that his net worth saw an increase of up to $50 million. While this number may not seem close to what A-list athletes have made, we can assume that he make his car payments and mortgage by the end of the month.

But that’s a bold assumption to make, especially in this economy. Luckily for Trae, his endorsement deals got this covered. Over the years he has signed numerous deals with big brands such as BodyArmor, Old Spice, Chipotle, Sprite, Robinhood, Tissot, Through the Lens, NBA2K, eBay, Panini America, and Zamst, Paddletek among others. However, one of his noteworthy deals came after he ditched Adidas.

It was reported that Young’s signed 4-year deal with Adidas was worth around $1.8 million. This was his first deal which got restructured in 2020 after his rookie contract with the Hawks got upgraded. However, this deal ended in October 2024, when Trae got the offer to become the face (ironic) of Jordan Brand. “I’m grateful MJ did that for people like myself, and my goal is to try and continue that legacy,” Young said of this deal.
What is Trae Young’s salary and contract with the Hawks?
In the 2018 NBA Draft, Trae Young’s hometown team, the Dallas Mavericks picked him fifth overall but he got traded to the Hawks and since then Young has stayed with the Atlanta-based franchise. His 4-year rookie contract was worth around $26.5 million. In 2022, it was reported that Trae had inked a 5-year fully guaranteed extension worth more than $215 million. This deal includes a player option during the final year of his contract.
As per the terms of his current contract, in 2022 Young took home a salary of $37 million, which is projected to rise by $49 million by the end of his term in 2027. For this 2024-25 season, is expected that Trae will be making somewhere around $43 million. Which makes him the highest-paid Hawks player and 19th best-paid NBA player this year. It’s estimated that he has made more than $146 million just from his salary.

With this much money in his hands, Trae did what any guy in his 20s would do. He invested it!!! But before investing he took a couple of dollars out and bought some swanky rides such as the Audi R8 V10, McLaren 720S, and Lamborghini Aventador apart from his daily drivers such as a Mercedes and Tesla. His assets include a $20 million mansion in SoCal’s Calabasas and some other real estate which he has turned into rental properties.
