Stephen Curry claimed the throne of the Ultimate 3-point Shooting Champion after beating WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu last night. Just 24 hours after mesmerizing the Indiana crowd with his incredible shooting, Steph is ready to put on another show in tonight’s All-Star Game. This will be his illustrious career’s 10th All-Star appearance. However, the 35-year-old will still have a target on his back after tonight’s game to lead the Golden State Warriors to another title.

Before taking on the court, the 4-time Champion revealed his expectations for the Warriors for the second half of the season. “The expectations are always the same. When we are out there, we feel like we should win”. Curry still has a Championship mentality despite the Warriors’ turbulent season. “All you wanna do is get to the playoffs”, Curry added. Steph also revealed that the Warriors’ primary goal is to reach the playoffs this season. They know how to win a series once they reach the post-season because of years of Championship experience. And he believes they can pull it off again this year.

While Stephen Curry and Co. have had a rough season, they showed glimpses of their old self heading into the All-Star break. The Warriors went 8-2 in their last 10 games before the All-Star Weekend. Steph revealed that they have been highly motivated and played with great energy recently and hope to make a run in the second half. The 10-time All-Star also complimented young Warriors players, including rookie Brandin Podziemski and Jonathan Kuminga, for stepping up and elevating their game to help the team win. The Warriors are currently 10th in the Western Conference standings with a 27-26 record.

Has Steve Kerr figured out the formula to win again?

A major reason for the Warriors’ recent success has been head coach Steve Kerr’s decision to give young players more playing time. Kerr has been using Kuminga and Podziemski during crunch-time situations instead of veteran players like Klay Thompson. The head coach even took the tough decision of benching Klay for the first time since his rookie season in the last game against the Utah Jazz. While many criticized Kerr for the call, his decision brought the best out of Klay.

Klay had fresh legs when he came off the bench and dropped a season-high 35 points to lead the Warriors to victory. He also got his shooting rhythm back, going 7 of 13 from the three-point line. Meanwhile, Kuminga and Podziemski held their own in the starting line-up alongside Steph, Wiggins and Draymond. Steve Kerr might have figured out the formula to win again and could go with the same strategy for the remaining 29 games of the season.
