According to the 2024 All-Star voting results, Tyrese Haliburton was unanimously voted the number 1 Eastern Conference point guard by the fans, media, and players. He joined Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo as the only two starters to lead the voting in all three categories. That is an amazing achievement for the 23-year-old guard, as it shows the impact he has had this season.

Haliburton has played great all season, averaging 23.6 points, 12.6 assists, and 4.1 rebounds. He is the league leader in assists and has led the Indiana Pacers to the 7th place in the Eastern Conference standings with a 25-20 record. Haliburton signed a 5-year $260 million max contract extension with the Pacers last summer.

And he has proven his worth this season. Tyrese is focused on ending the Indiana Pacers’ 3-year playoff drought and making a deep run in the post-season this year.

Just like Tyrese, Giannis has also been a favorite among all this year. The Greek Freak has dominated his opponents all season and led the Milwaukee Bucks to the 2nd spot in the Eastern Conference standings. The 2-time MVP is averaging 31.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 6.2 assists. He was named the captain of the Eastern Conference All-Star team as he had the most votes among all starters. However, we might not get to see the dream duo of Haliburton and Giannis in this year’s All-Star game.

Will Tyrese Haliburton play in the All-Star game?

Although Tyrese Haliburton was named the Eastern Conference starting point guard for this year’s All-Star game, we might not see him in action. The Pacers superstar has been dealing with a hamstring injury since January 8 after he hyper-extended it during a game against the Boston Celtics. He missed his 4th consecutive game tonight as the Indiana Pacers took on the Philadelphia 76ers. The Pacers will re-evaluate Haliburton’s injury on Saturday as they do not want to take any chances with their superstar’s health.

The All-Star game is still 24 days away, and fans are hopeful about seeing Tyrese Haliburton start the game for the first time in his career. To add cherry on the cake, the game will be played in Indianapolis this year. So, Haliburton will receive a lot of love from his home crowd.
